Qi in the Forest - the NQA Annual Conference 2008

Pearlstone Retreat Center hides in the woods of Northern Maryland and up to mid-August of 2008 had only hosted groups of the Jewish faith. The National Qigong Association assembled internal arts practitioners to this exceptional place and the joining of a traditional historic faith and a thoughtful heart-felt practice felt natural and comfortable.

The NQA conference is an opportunity for those interested in Qigong to hear many of the leading voices in the field. I took a sessions from Damaris Jarboux and from Francesco and Daisy Garripoli and watched demonstrations of scores of beautiful practitioners. The air was clear, temperatures were inordinately pleasant, and a feeling of great calm permeated action and thought.

Next year the conference will be held in California near Monterey and the following year near Minneapolis.
