Harriet Tuxhorn

Harriet began her study of qigong in the late 1990's through the county recreation center. The people and the practice hooked her right away. Her principal focus has been Sheng Zhen Qigong, taking numerous workshops and Teacher Training seminars with Master Li Jun Feng, the principal teacher of Sheng Zhen Qigong. Harriet's studies with Master Li have taken her to Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Nova Scotia, California, and exotic Texas, where she has enjoyed meeting fellow practitioners and exploring different cultures. Other teachers Harriet has studied with include Francesco Garripoli, Daisy Lee, and several area teachers.

Harriet's growth through qigong led to her desire to teach, allowing her to share her qigong experience, and help others find their own. She began teaching qigong in 2004, and has since taught in community centers, county recreation centers, and at Inova's Life with Cancer program.

Harriet is a certified Sheng Zhen teacher, a Professional Member of the National Qigong Association, and has received Level 1 Instructors Certification from the NQA. She is also a Reiki Master in the Jin Kei Do tradition and a Life Coach. Recently retired from 'government work', Harriet is looking forward to her new non 9-5 life!
