Jon Waterman

Jon was introduced to a Zen meditation discipline while teaching martial arts in the early seventies and now teaches Mindfulness Meditation and Stress Management Courses, as well as the traditional Cheng Man-Ching variation of the Yang style Tai Chi Form both in-person as well as on-line.

 

His association with Peaceable Dragon began in 2007 while studying Tai Chi under John Allen and has been meticulously refining his form with Kris Brinker since 2017.

Jon, one of the founding directors of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington, continues to be a member of IMCW’s Teachers Council. He currently facilitates Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Courses (MBSR) for veterans through the Whole Health Department of the Washington, DC Veterans Hospital.

 

Jon’s commitment to mind/body disciplines enjoys synthesizing various meditation techniques with mindful movement and Insight Dialogue within a safe, relaxed and light-hearted environment.
